A Lush boutique recently opened inside one of our Macy's stores (thanks again Mary Kate for showing me the light! :)). I bought a ton of stuff for Christmas gifts... and for myself. Well I spent enough money to get several bath bombs for free. I fell down a flight of stairs two days ago, and I decided I needed a bath tonight to help me relax. So I split one of the Christmas Party bath bombs in two and plunked half of it in the tub. Well... out came about a thousand star confetti and glittery bits. I love how I smell, I love how my skin feels... but wtf do I do with all these confetti glittery bits? Am I crazy to worry these might clog my tub eventually??

(there was a little part of me that wanted to get a sieve and strain them all out when I was done :o)

In the future you can put them in a nylon stocking so that you don't get glitter all over, but if I don't do that, I just wait for it to dry a bit, dampen a paper towel or a wad of toilet tissue, and run it along the bottom/sides of the tub.

HTH.

We haven't bought Lush bath bombs in years, but I do recall that some of them left a lot of "junk" in the tub. Never had confetti, but sticks, leaves, twigs, and general "bits". DBF has a Japanese soaker tub so you pretty much have to do a headstand in it to clean it out. Annoying. But for the one bomb I wouldn't worry about the stars. And I wouldn't worry about the glitter at all.

The better question is: how long before you are no longer finding glitter in your hair, clothes, and bed? The answer: MONTHS.

:D

I made the mistake of using a Fairy Magic bath bomb once, and I could not get rid of the glitter to save my life. I seriously almost skipped going to work the next day because I was covered in the stuff - very professional. :o I've learned my lesson and avoid the glitter bombs now.

But to answer your question, I wouldn't worry much about it. I have never had a problem with the sticks, twigs, leaves, glitter, and other confetti stuff clogging my drain.
