Calling all tomato and basil lovers! This is the perfect summer recipe to try when you have lots of fresh tomatoes and basil from the garden. I have enough of both to supply my entire neighborhood... This recipe was terrific!:D I did add extra garlic to the pesto because I didn't think that 2 cloves was enough. Quick and yummy pizza. Word of caution: The leftovers were a bit soggy, but still delicious. Might want to finish this one off on the first night!

Peggy- thanks for the review. I've had my eye on this and now will definitely give it a go. Although, it will have to wait until the end of the month when DH returns- I don't want those leftovers tempting me! Also, my tomatoes are SOOO slow this year- I'm still waiting!
I tried this pizza last week and thought it was kind of soggy. The flavor was awesome. Maybe I added too many tomatoes!
I agree - this pizza was really delicious. we didn't have leftovers, so i can't comment on the next-day sogginess. i think i must have used really large garlic cloves...we LOVE garlic (& i usually add extra to everthing), but between the 2 cloves in the pesto and 2 sliced cloves on the pizza (even though it called for 3!) the pizza was REALLY garlicky. Tasty, but very garlicky.

Peggy-
Thanks for the review. I have that recipe dog-eared in my July issue to try, and just haven't gotten around to it yet. I was so happy to hear that it's worth a try!
:)
I've made this a couple of times and really liked it, but I think I would like a sharper cheese. Any recommendations? I don't know cheese that well but found the provolone a little bland.
