With all the great fresh fruit in season, I have been searching the web for some recipes and info on fruit. I came across one I thought I would share: www.freshdelmonte.com
It looks pretty interesting and full of all kinds of info.
Does anyone else have some fruit websites they would like to share? I had another that I found from a sticker on peaches last year, but I lost the bookmark somehow and have yet to see that sticker this year.
funnybone-thanks for the Del-Monte website. DH & I are trying to eat fruit with each meal and I'm always on the lookout for easy, healthy, different fruit recipes. I'll check it periodically.

Thanks, funnybone. I've bookmarked the site.
It's not as good as the DelMonte site you found (in my opinion), but Dole also has a site... some info/some recipes: www.dole.com

Not necessarily a recipe website, but this has all kinds of info you would need on any kind of fruit (and/or vegetable), such as seasonal availability, how to select & store, uses and nutrition info. http://www.wegmans.com/kitchen/ingredients/produce/index.asp
Wegmans, for those of you not in NY, PA or NJ, is a fantastic supermarket (that I miss very much because they're not in my area!!!).

I work for a grocery wholesale organization and in my office I had the most beautiful calendar from the California Pear Advisory Board. The photography was amazing. Their web site is www.calpear.com.

There's an article on page 24 in the August issue of Bon Appetit about a man in Georgia who grows 35 varieties of peaches.
In Michigan, I can't get a good peach to save my soul, so I think I'll bite and spend the $45 (which includes shipping) for a 12 lb. box of whatever variety is in season. This may sound outrageous to you all, but again, peaches are second only to watermelon in my fruit category, and I'm tired of the dry, tasteless variety.
Here's the website - www.lanepacking.com - or you can call 800-277-3224.
