View Full Version : Water Water Everywhere - But are you drinking it?
For most of us it's summer and warm or hot which means we need ...... even more water than before. Please remember your body can't function without water. Often when we're looking for something to nibble, we're actually hungry. Next time, grab a glass of water, drink it and wait a few minutes. If you're still hungry then go for it.

We all need reminders, so keep doing that. I'm getting more water into me, but it still is not enough!

Hi Funnybone,
Do you like herbal teas? There are so many delicious flavors, and they are especially good in the heat, mixed up as iced tea. And, three cups of herbal tea daily may count as pure water!

Ironically, just 3 days ago I had a talk with my 15yo son about this very thing.. We talked for over 30 min. about how important drinking water is for your insides, etc. (I LOVE those kinds of talks!)
He is the most athletic of my 3 children, (youngest) and is a sponge when it comes to health/nutrition/way the body works kinda kid.
Alot of people don't realize how important this is for their bodies. Thanks for the reminder! :) Zinnia

Also, being that a lot of outdoor activities are enjoyed in the hot summer months, be sure to replenish your fluids regularly. Keep on drinking- generally, if you've gotten to the point where you're thirsty, you're already on your way to dehydration. And the more you drink, along the lines of what BevP mentioned, the less likely you'll be to snack!
