My Computer is SOOoooooo Slow/Could it be my wireless router?

It hapopened the very night DD hooked up the wireless. I used to have lightening fast cable internet.....now it is as slow as my DSL was(which was just a tad faster than dial-up) and it is driving me NUTS!

Should a wireless router be making my desktop slow? DS who lives in an apartment behind our house and feeds off this says he is having no problem...
My virus protection is up to date, I have scanned my computer no viruses...no adware....It has to be the wireless router...

Any suggestions, PLEASE!

When was the last time you cleaned your cache or defragmented?

Can you explain this a little better? :o DD installed the wireless because I am just computer ignorant....:(

sneezles, did that today as well, Nothing...

Gumbeaux, when I saw cable, I decided to check the cords in the back of the wireless router and they weren't quite pushed in all the way and I am flippin everywhere now, at a great speed, so that may have been it...time will tell.
