An "X" for an avatar

I'm still struggling with the avatar. Like some others, all I'm getting is an "X" and the picture won't load. Any ideas on what is causing the problem? Thanks!

Are you trying to use one of the ones provided, trying to direct the url to another website, or trying to upload your own from your computer?
