Fantastic recipe! I really was looking for something to make so i can freeze in individual portions. Really this isn't a warm weather recipe but my cravings have no sense of time/climate etc. I really loved the carrot and zucchini. This recipe would not of been the same without 1/4 cup of my good friend's homemade chili powder though. I do not know what she puts in it though but it's darn good.

I am planning on making this tonight. I have Penzey's Chili Powder, so I'm sure it will taste great. I was searching for reviews, but it doesn't look like too many have tried it. Now that is nearing the end of summer, maybe more people will.

WOW - I made this and it has been simmering. I just tasted it, and it is yummy. I used the medium hot chili powder from Penzey's and it is spicy enough. This recipe looks like it is a keeper!

I want to make this chili for work this coming weekend-did you all really use 1/4 cup chili powder? I want to double the recipe so that means 1/2 cup and that seems like an awful lot! Just curious-

Yes, I used the amount asked for. When I first saw the recipe, I thought the same, but still went ahead with it. It all depends on your tastes too. If you are unsure, add half the amount, as you could always add a little more later.
