Val, ice-cream maker?

Did you ever purchase one? DH put his foot down, says we will gain weight if I buy one, as we will want to make some every night!! My birthday is coming up, so I think I will request one from my parents, is that sneaky or what??
I am looking at Cuisinarts this coming week.

after all of those wonderful ice cream maker tips and reviews we both received, I didn't get one either!

two reasons:
1)DH and I still live in a small apartment that is filled to the brim with stuff
2)I got preoccupied with the pregnacy thing. Plus, my morning sickness prevented me from thinking about food related things for a while

Once we get a house (hopefully soon) I think I will buy the Cuisinart.
