OK, I got this idea off the Internet and it sounds a little goofy, but it is working so far. I have a zucchini plant and the rabbits won't leave it alone, but they don't bother the other veggies and i did not want to use any chemicals or bother with a fence for one plant. I put a piece of Irish Spring soap in a small plastic cup, then laid it on its side near the plant. Since then, the bunnies have left the plant alone. I will keep watching as more blossoms appear and keep you posted.

That is very interesting that the bunnies are eating this plant, cuz this plant is rather pitchy. If I brush the leaves I get a slight tingy over my skin. I have pet rabbits and they never touch this plant. But let's talk about lettuce, parsley, peas and string beans. If I take my eyes off them for one minute, I swear I'd have nothing left. I just love to see the bunnies get their exercise. But they have been banished for a few weeks, they were mowing down the string beans. It was a game to them. If something is in their path, they will snip it down. Oh well, just planted a few more string beans.

I'm not much of a gardener, but I do plant herbs every year. I love fresh parsley. For years, I didn't have a problem, then some forest critters (rabbits, groundhogs, skunks, raccoons, squirrels, possums and deer -- we've got em all) discovered my parsley, and I haven't been able to grow it since. I've tried spraying it with diluted Murphy's oil soap, and shaking cayenne pepper over it, but eventually, I go out and all that's left is an inch of stem. Oh, well, that's what grocery stores are for!

Jessica - thanks for the tip!!!

I don't have a garden, but the bunnies have been ravaging my dianthus plants in my front yard. First all the blooms were gone, now they are chowing down on the leaves. I bought a toy snake this weekend hoping that would scare them away. I'll try your soap trick as well!
