Thank you Kim and Sue!!! I woke up on Friday morning, and realized it was Friday the 13th and my 39th birthday rolled in to one neat little package. Doesn't that just seem to be poetic justice? Supposedly your 'last' youngish birthday falls on the day that something heavy is supposed to simply fall on YOU? I started to get a little morbid and my bottom lip started to pooch...

On this alleged bad luck day I then looked to my left and saw the blue sky of Hawaii and heard the waves crashing against the shore. I turned to my right and saw my sleeping hunk of a husband, and heard him half wake up and whisper 'Happy Birthday my Jewel'. I think I came to the conclusion that if this is turning 39, then I can't wait to turn 40.
