A Great Big Thank You To Everyone!!

I posted this response on Valerie's " bun in the oven " thread but I think long after everyone has given their congratulations to her and haven't gone back. It is really very important to me that you all get to see my thoughts so please bear with me posting this again here.

To Everyone,
I want to thank you all for congratulating Valerie (and me) on this special news. When I heard she was pregnant I said I can hardly wait to share this with everyone on the BB. We really feel you are all extended family and like all families we like to share our tribulations (like Emily running the marathon) and the trials(like when Jewel had to lose those last few pounds to have her surgery and then suffering through that darn tube with her)
On this board we are not tunnel-visioned. Although our main focus is cooking light we are much more then that. There are a lot of great websites have have wonderful recipes; but there is no website like this one where we can go O.T. because we are about more then just eating. We really are about caring for one another.
You just have no idea how happy we are for all your good wishes and kind thoughts.

Well now I'm choked up too!! You're right when you say that we're not tunnel-visioned, and I thank my Angels every day for it. I don't think any of us is foolish enough to think that we are only addicted to this BB because of the recipes and kitchen tips. We're friends, and that's the most addictive part of it.

I can truthfully say that above all the extraordinary information and quick reference that this internet has given me, the friends I have made are more important and more fulfilling. I can look up recipes anywhere...but I can't find you people anywhere else. I'm proud to be a part of it!

And darn it, Maizey, we all deserve to be 'Aunties' and 'Uncles' now, don't you think? 'Auntie Jewel'?? 'Uncle Matt'?? 'Auntie Kwormann'?? It's the least you two can do you know... :p We're all in this together! How 'bout a centrally located baby shower?

What lovely posts! I was laughing Jewel thinking about this poor child with all the aunts and uncles he/she would have with very strange names- Auntie Sneezles and Auntie Luv to Cook!!
But I am sure all the Christmas gifts would be appreciated!
