View Full Version : Can I freeze Salsa Verde?
My mom's tomatillos reseeded themselves from last year and now we are overwhelmed with them. Does anyone know if we can make Salsa Verde (cooked) and then freeze? We'd rather not have to go through the canning process. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I believe you can frreze cooked salsa verde.I made tomatillo puree CL Oct 99 unfortunatelly my extra refrigerator died so I ended tossing the sauce. Basically if I remember it was about 1 1/2 pounds tomatillos you remove husk and stems. Put a big pot of water to boil add tomatillos remove from heat and covered 5 mins, you drain then put through Cuisinart addding some cilantro and salt Cover cool then I placed in freezer bags
