A while back someone said they freeze their grape & eat them all summer b/c they taste like little popcicles.
Well, I tried this with a bunch that would have gone bad otherwise - I have to say YUM!! I love grapes this way & I never would have thought of it without you all.
So Thanks!

This was my grandfather's favorite snack ... at age 90 he thought he invented it! He had my kids hooked immediately.

I learned about this little treat from Richard Simmons a few years back, and it's the only way I can eat fresh grapes! I try to keep a bunch in the freezer at all times during the summer! :D

Ooh, I have to add something. I've never done the frozen grape thing, but frozen bananas are like creamy frozen pudding -- so, so delicious.
Next time I have to buy grapes, I'll trying throwing some in there, as well.

That is a neat idea. I love grapes--have to try it.

I've also heard of freezing grapes to use as 'ice cubes' for wine that hasn't been chilled because they won't melt and dilute the wine.

Frozen grapes have always been one of my kids' favorites snacks during the summer. When they are on sale- I always have a zippie full of them in my freezer, (red & green seedless) and they can just dump out what they want in a sandwich baggie and go. :) Zinnia

Frozen grapes are wonderful--almost as addictive as Sugar-free Popsicles(the orange, grape, & cherry kind)--and a lot healthier.

I've been freezing grapes for quite some time. A great summer treat. Once in a while, when I get the urge for chocolate, I'll actually dip frozen grapes in melted chocolate, then reset them in the fridge or freezer. I figure the nutrients in the grapes help to negate the fat in the chocolate- right?! :D

I love them frozen, but they are nasty if they thaw.

Grapes are not bad, but for those of you that love blueberries...
Every year my mom and I go blueberry picking, and then she freezes them in little one-serving bags. They usually last throughout the winter (while our bug-bites disappear in a few days). That way my brother has something healthy to snack on after school, and my mom has readily available baking additions.

I also have to confirm how awesome frozen grapes are in the summer. When I was playing soccer in elementary school and middle school (way back when), we decided these were the best treat on the side line. For those of you how played, or have children that play rec soccer, you probably know that sliced oranges are a regular for kids coming off the field. However, the frozen grapes are MUCH less messy, and almost more revitalizing! I've now hooked my DH on them for the summertime snack. YUM!
