Ok, so I am looking to buy a new pair of tennis shoes. :D
I wear them around the house, to run errands, you name it. My excerise routines include walking and some light aerobics. This winter it has been inside, but when warm weather comes, I walk outside.
I am NOT a jogger (if that matters).
There are SO many different brands, etc out there.
Can you share YOUR favorites with me?
Thanks!!

I know you say you're not a runner but I still would recommend going to a running shoe store. It's really hard to recommend a brand of shoe because different ones are better for different feet/stride. What works well for one person is not a good fit for another. I go in all the time and say I need a shoe for walking and it's not a big deal at all. They'll watch how you walk (sometime look at your current shoes to see the wear pattern) and then bring out a couple of different ones for you to try. I've always been very satisified with how well my shoes fit when I leave the store and it's not unusual for it to be a different brand than the previous pair (especially if it's been too long since I bought new shoes, new models are out etc). There are some stores that are more walker friendly than others.

I agree. I have a pair of actual walking shoes and they are much more comfortable than regular aerobic shoes and more support.
I got them at the running store. They also last longer. I think they are brooks. My running shoes are Asics.

thanks for the info so far.
I failed to mention that my current pair and previous pair are New Balance 811.

We like Asics Gels... I got a less expensive pair, and put gel insoles in them -- heaven! And I use them about the way you do your shoes!
