I went to the doctor today as I've been not feeling right. Today it was bad sore throat and a feeling at times that my throat was swollen and closing up.
Turns out I have strep (oh joy!!). The dr gave me prednisone to help with the swelling in my throat. I've never taken a steroid before so I'm a bit hesitant.
It says to take 4 on days one and two, then I take 2 pills for two days, then 1 pill for two days. I'm clear on that.
When I read the pre-printed directions, it said if I'm taking one dose daily, I should take it prior to 9:00am. Is there a reason I couldnt' or shouldn't take it this afternoon?
The pharmacist mentioned that it can make me jittery. Does this normally happen? I dont't want my heart to be racing all afternoon, either, but I would like to breathe easily. It's not much fun feeling like this.
Should I take it with food? It didn't really specify.
I'm confused. Please help me. :D I know, I should've asked these questions when I was at the dr's office, but my head is kind of cloudy.
I know that I have to continue the course once I start so I want to make sure I know what I'm getting into!
