Ok it's Tuesday but we need a thread for this week!!!

Jack's birthday was on Easter so we had family in this weekend thus NO workouts!! I ate horribly too!!!! Oh well - it was a nice time - hard to believe my oldest is 11!!!!

Yesterday I DID workout - but in my bedroom!! Quite the change. We got word last Thursday that our contractors could come out and start the drywall project in our basement. So everything got moved upstairs. Bless my hubby. He lugged all my free weights, DVDs and TV to our room. Thank goodness for our vaulted ceiling!!!;) I did BSS3 with Stephanie - kick in the muscles!

Nothing today as I had female issues:rolleyes: Tomorrow I need to do some cardio BIG TIME. We'll see how that goes over in our room!!!

How is everyone else doing this week?!!!

Had to check in and say I did Burn and Shape today. I'm finding it difficult to workout upstairs. I don't feel like I can really get into the cardio without bumping into my bed or dresser! Oh well - 2 more weeks!

We had nice weather today - upper 50's and sunny. Guess it's about to change and start raining. yee haw.

Happy Wednesday!:)

Hey charisse... glad to hear you can still work out in a cramped space! Two weeks is not that bad. Everything stays so much cleaner & nicer with drywall, you'll love it. Hugs for DH for doing the lugging of equipment!.

I forget what I've done each day but I've been on program. We wanted to ski yesterday ( yes, it's still snowing) but it was too wet so I took out my aggression on a huge blackberry patch. It may not be cardio or strength, but it's quite a workout. and I finished the patch. Whoopee!! Blackberries are plants from he!!.

I did cathe's Power Hour. Getting my weight on squats and lunges up to 25 pounds and completing all reps. Plie squats are 12 pounds, although cathe uses 15. but it is looking possible now.... at first 5 lbs was plenty. . I got a little sore but not bad. This is time for me to mention ( again) that one if these days soon I will be doing Butts and Guts.... ;)

I've had hormone issues lately. trying to get off hormone replacement but it didn't work. I am completely unable to sleep, even though I'm on a very reduced dose and have been for a long time. but cut that dose just a little more and .......:(:( I was getting so terribly tired and cranky. so I'm back on a reduced dose and will be for who knows how long. The same thing just does not work for everyone.

.

I had to laugh - my MIL is going crazy putting in raspberry, blackberry and blueberry plants on her land. She LOVES the work involved!!

Sorry about the hormone stuff - I'm waiting for mine to kick in. I had quite an adjustment when I went off the pill (I was on it for 15 years!!!) I think I've done ok over the past couple of years - waiting now for that menopause thing!!!

I did Upper Body weights and Coremax #1 today.

I have blueberries and used to have raspberries til the deer ate them, but the northwest has a terrible problem with non native blackberries. these are not tame domestic plants but like kudzu but with thorns. some of the canes grow 30 feet and climb trees. the canes arch up and wherever they touch down they send out roots and extend the patch. Nasty! and they're covered with thorns, even the dead canes. so this year I decided to whack a few patches back into control. this was my biggest patch and victory is mine... at least until some root fragments re-sprout!
so in celebration I did 30 on the treadmill and then drillmax after a short break. I'm not sure this is a good combo. my legs were already tired and I couldn't exactly throw myself into some of the drills. but I did it, maybe not in the greatest of style.

Oh we could talk about hormones..... I've been on hormone replacement for 13 years and tapered way down but there's a level beyond which I can't go without totally losing the ability to sleep. It's the most confounding thing but even sleep meds are not effective. so back on the low level of hormones I go. what works for one definitely does not work for everyone else.

Hi, everyone!! It's been a very busy couple of weeks. We're back from Spring Break vacation this week and it's been tough getting up early again. While on vacation, I did great with my workouts. 9am is soooooo much easier to manage than 5am!!! This week, I missed workouts on Monday & Tuesday -- just couldn't wake up!! Yesterday, though, was Cathe's Low Impact Circuit and today was the Cardio Blast from BodyMax2.

I did do Butts and Guts last week and have to say it was hard but it wasn't impossible. It WAS long, though. The Core & Ab work seemed pretty short and mild compared to all the leg/glute work. I expected the guts part to be more intense but it really wasn't. I really felt the leg work but I know part of it was that I was sore after running the day before (I'm not a runner but managed to do 40 minutes on the treadmill -----25 of them running!).

Valerie -- Those blackberry bushes sound mean!! Congrats on increasing your weights with Power Hour.

Charisse -- Good job working out amidst the construction. I know what you mean about bumping into furniture. I workout in our bedroom and today banged into the dresser twice!!

Hope you all have great weekends!
