looking for new moms in nyc area

i recently had my first baby (4 weeks ago). i am home for another 3 months and will then go back to work in nyc part time. i was hoping to find some new (or old) moms in my area to get together during the week--meet for coffee or lunch, take walks, go to the park, etc.

i live in bayside (queens) but would be willing to meet in manhattan or LI or anywhere else that's not too far.

anyone out there intereted?

I live in Indiana, but you might want to check and see if there is a MOMS Club in your area (or similar organization). It's a great way to get to know other moms. You can check out www.momsclub.org - you can look through the chapters listed on the site - if you don't find one on the website (not every chapter has a web page), you can email them and they will let you know if there is a chapter near you. I've belonged to our chapter for 4 years and have found it invaluable - for both my kids and myself. Good luck!
