Hope every one had a good weekend. Michelle, hope there is some good news about DM.

I had a pretty easy weekend. I got sore from B&G but not bad. My glutes especially but my legs didn't despite how unpleasant I found the workout at the time of doing it. We had garden chores to do this weekend and I didn't want to be gimping around unable to climb stairs without moaning etc. So I can repeat B&G either today or tomorrow and do most/all of squats & lunges. I will leave the floor workout for another day. thanks for letting me whine a little. Like lots of difficult things, ( lecturing myself here) this can be done if it's broken down into pieces and done a chunk at a time.

Yeah, Valerie!!!! You did it! That's wonderful....makes perfect sense to chunk it until you can do the whole thing without being miserable.

I did a long workout on Saturday.....Supersets then the Step, Abs & stretch CTX All Step. I can really feel the Supersets in my biceps and hamstrings!! Then we worked outside -- cleaned up the deck, got the yard back in shape. No workout Sunday but did do a little rollerblading Sunday afternoon. It was just a beautiful weekend here!!

Hi Valerie and Stacy!

Sorry I was MIA last week - we had a weeks worth of state testing along with soccer and baseball practices. Just a bit crazy. I did workout but can't remember what I did - a lot of Stepboxing.

We leave Friday for a week in Florida so I've been trying to workout everyday!!! Yesterday I did Time Crunch and today I did Fat Blasting Cardio. Tomorrow is weights and Wed will be stepboxing.

Drywall is almost done in the basement - dust abounds in our house!!! I can't wait to move my workout stuff downstairs again!!:)

Valerie - chunk away! Great idea :)
Stacy - I too spent 3 hours on Saturday clearing out the flower beds - I have so many *&^%* weeds growing around/in my irises!!! Grumble grumble. It took me a good hour to clear out what I could! I so enjoyed just sitting on the ground in the dirt :D

Michelle - sending positive thoughts for you and your mom.

Happy Monday everyone!

Just did cardio today, and coremax #. tomorrow will be B&G, episode II.

the good news is Precor is replacing our treadmill. We called this weekend and said, "We've had it!" too expensive to gradually, piece by piece, replace the electrical system. And they are delivering it, setting it up and and picking up the problem unit. should be this week or next. was willing to work if it was a minor problem but it's got some sort of wire problem somewhere in the frame and for almost $4000 they can take it apart and figure it out on their time. The problem kept getting better but never went away completely. I just got less frequent, less intense shocks but they were still around. So I'm happy, as long as they do what they say.

I haven't exercised regularly since January due to illness after illness, side effects from meds, separating from ex, trying to find a job...but yesterday I did 2 hours of gardening (heavy stuff like pulling up dead trees and brush), and I finally got my weights and exercise DVDs from the house so am planning a light AM weight training and have a 3pm "appointment" with a friend to do a 4 mile walk. I have been walking the puppy (13 week old golden retriever) regularly and we are up to 2 miles a day. He has been great incentive to get outside even on the yucky days.

Hi, everyone!

Valerie -- I'm so glad they are replacing your treadmill!! What a relief. It makes me crazy how long it takes to resolves things sometimes but it's good that it's finally happening! Good luck w/B & G part II!

Charisse -- Great job with your workouts! Enjoy your trip to Florida. We just got back from a week off for spring break and I swear I could use another one. Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Mlasley -- Welcome! It's nice to have you join us. "Appointments" are great motivators and a good way to get re-energized! Good for you.

I did Step, Jump & Pump this morning. First time through but I liked it! My knees are a little sore so I kept the Hi/Lo mostly Lo.

See ya'll tomorrow!

Stacy - my knees can't take the high impact so I bring all of her moves down. It's still quite the workout!!! I like that workout.

Mlasley - welcome!!! Exercise is a great thing to help you through the stressors in life. We're a pretty supportive bunch here too so feel free to post away :)

Valerie - YEA!!!! Get rid of that shockmeister!!! Glad to hear they will replace it!

I did BSS4 with Pam today - weight work. Holy toledo! I'm hardly doing any fanny lifter workouts - this one is and oh my goodness! My legs are toast! Tomorrow is crazy - not sure if I can squeeze one in - THURSDAY is my last workout - stepboxing Cardio!!!!:D

Mlasley, welcome! A dog that NEEDS ( oh yes, he will remind you!) walking will help you keep those appointments. Hang in there. Exercise will help keep you grounded when the rest of your world is going crazy.

charsse, the dust will be history. Not long now.
stacy, toning down Cathe moves is just part of the deal. I only go up after I'm sure and not getting sore anymore. I was scared to jump at all when I first started her stuff because of an ACL injury, but I've gradually learned without getting sore or injured.
Sorry to report I didn't do B&G II. we decided to snowshoe on Wednesday & didn't want to start with tired sore legs, so Tuesday I did 30 on the elliptical and GS Back & biceps for the first time. I love these GS workouts. they are just long enough and focused enough to add to a cardio session without being over worked. If I've done 30-60 minutes of cardio I don't WANT to do an overall strength workout but the GS ones are perfect.
We did the snowshoe, about 6 hours, I made the right choice. Legs are tired today!

It's been a busy week!! Happy Friday, everyone!

Although I haven't been here much, I have been working out....Wed was KPC, Thurs was Push Pull and this morning was Step Blast.

Valerie -- Glad you like the GS workouts. I think they are great, too! I agree about modifying moves. If it gets too hard, I'm not going to want to exercise at all. It's important to keep some balance -- challenged but not miserable!! The snowshoe sounds like a blast! Did you use your new shoes?

Charisse -- Have a great vacation!! You've done a fabulous job getting the workouts in before you leave.

Just finishing out the week here but there seems to be some issues with email notification not working. but what the heck...

Yes I used my new snowshoes. They are excellent. they are metal shoes with sort of ratchety edges all around the edges and then a big claw under the foot. they grip quite well. they are narrow enough so I don't step on myself all the time but I still am careful about stepping on the heel of the forward foot. I did trip myself a couple times but my old shoes are about the same. some of us never learned to walk right so I am making do!

I ended up only getting in about 20 min on the treadmill thursday cause I had to take my aunt for a doctors appt, lots of driving. today I did an hour of cardio. didn't budget time well... I wanted to do some upper body or core but ran short of time. tomorrow it might be sunny and warm so we will do a bike ride, probably our usual 35 mile one on a bike trail near here. Finally a spring like day!! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE.
