I have had foot pain for more than a year, been to two podiatrists, had the orthotics made, many x-rays, mri, cortisone, acupuncture and still have serious pain, probably from a neuroma. I am no longer able to run, walk any distance, use a treadmill, cycle or elliptical machine, which only leaves swimming.
My primary care physician suggested laser treatment from a chiropractor. I haven't gone because it isn't covered by my insurance, but I am pretty much willing to try it now. I definitely don't want to have surgery.
Pros or cons, anyone?

You're not telling us enough. Is there a surgical fix? what are the risks? How old are you? what are the chances laser will work? will laying off exercise for a period of time cause improvement? I would not try "anything" out there if there's no track record, and I am wary of chiropractors in general but I can't tell if this is a "do the right thing" medical issue or a money issue. does insurance pay for surgery but not laser? Both are valid issues so that's not meant to be critical. Foot pain is a difficult thing to deal with. You may need more opinions.
