Baking Pan

I am thinking of making the Mississippi Mud Cake and the instructions call for a 13-9" baking dish. Is this the same as a traditional cake pan - 13 x 9 x 2? I would think it would be and I think this is a stupid question but I have never heard of this size.

Though I'm not the expert baker here, I agree that the cake pan you mentioned would be fine.

It's a shame that there isn't some standards for recipes when it comes to pan sizes! I, too, would use the 13x9x2 pan in this case.
