View Full Version : Lubricant for my treadmill?

Certainly some of you home workout enthusiasts can help me!

It appears that I need two types of lubricant for my treadmill. For the belt, I have a small bottle that is almost empty, and I'd like to get a new inexpensive oil...it is just a fairly lightweight, clear oil that looks exactly like my sewing machine oil. But what I have is from Sports Authority, and cost way more than it should. What do I look for to replace it, and where?

Also, the manual calls for "teflon-based lubricant" for the incline thingies. What is that and where do I get it?

The manufacturer's website doesn't offer any real help in this area.

Thanks,
Megan

You probably need Tri-Flow or similar product.

You can buy this at industrial supply places like Grainger and MSC. It can also be purchased online. Home Depot and Lowes might have it.

Thanks - that at least gives me something specific to look for. I looked in Home Depot with the other lubricants where I thought it would be, and couldn't locate it. And got a blank look when I asked the HD guy about it. I'll probably just mail order.
