Joey is about to turn two and DH is all gung-ho to get him one of these battery operated cars. (I must admit that Joey is WILD for cars in general..are boys just born this way?!)
Does anyone have recommendations for one that you have/like?
Thanks,
Terri

We don't have one but our neighbors have a battery-operated ride-on John Deere tractor, with a detachable cart, that their now-5-year-old has LOVED for years. I don't think he got it until he was 3, though.

The weeone has the Barbie Jeep...much to my dismay! She couldn't turn the steering wheel, though until she was almost 4, so make sure whatever you get your child has the arm strength to operate. Ours was a hand me down, so I didn't mind that it sat unused for a while, but if I shelled out the $$$ I'd have been really disappointed.

Min, thanks for the comments on the John Deere tractor. We are thinking of getting that for Rex for his 3rd birthday. Our neighbor boy who is 2 1/2 has a battery operated fire engine and he is the envy of the neighborhood. All of the kids, up to age 6 or 7 or so, love that toy! We live on a cul-de-sac which is ideal for riding.:)

One that I am looking at is the Power Wheels Arctic Cat Prowler:

It does say 3-6 years but some of the reviewers mention their 2 (and almost 2) year olds. Joey is pretty big/tall for his age. I like that it is a 2-seater, since little brother is coming up just 14 mos behind. (The price tags are steep on these things!)
The John Deere looks good too but I think Joey is too young for that one. Thanks for the feedback and keep it coming.

We have a John Deere Gator. the kids love it, but aren't very good at steering.
