marinade for portabella mushrooms

My husband and I are mushroom fanatics. At restaurants I've ordered portabella mushroom sandwiches, and they are SO yummy. It tastes like the mushrooms have been marinated and roasted or grilled. Does anyone have a recipe for mushroom marinade?

I usually marinate mine in balsamic vinegar and garlic (fresh, minced), then grill them right on the grill like burgers.

You can use as much or as little garlic as you prefer in the marinade. And, if you really like garlic, you can mix together a bit of garlic basil mayo to serve on the sandwiches! Mmmm.
