After reading Grace's supper club, recap, I want to join one! I posted about a week ago on the Supper Club Board about starting one in the Boston area, but got no responses, and I am not sure if it's cause no one ever goes over there!
So, anyone in the Boston area interested? You can email me at patriciam_22@yahoo.com

We have a supper club in southern NH. If you want to join us you are certainly welcome, but we are a long way from Hingham. Check on the NE supper club board back about 3 months ago though - I remember there being a club forming in the Boston area.

The same thing happened when I initially posted to the Northeast section...hardly anyone responded...then I did a search of the bb to find anyone who'd ever been interested in Rochester supper club and sent a mass email to all of those people to see if they were still interested (at least the people that listed their email addresses!) Turned out that there had been attempts at a club before but it never had taken off. We had a lot of responses, and now there are 10 of us or so going strong!
I was wary about meeting people this way, but it's a great group and I'm so glad we were able to get going!

Patti,
If you are going to start your own club, instead of joining one, I think I know someone in your area that would be interested. My husband's, cousin's wife is a big Cooking Light fan. When we were in MA for my sister-in-law's wedding in April, I was telling her about my Supper Club in California and she was very interested in finding one in MA. She lives in Wollaston and is a lot of fun! Would you like me to e-mail her to see if she is still interested? Let me know...

I too am interested, but for the Atlanta area. I know a bunch of groups are already going, but was looking to form a new one.
Let me know if you are interested!

I have one going in Grand Rapids, MI, (4 people) but we'd love to have more people - I can't believe no one else in GR reads this mag and does not want to get together and cook. I hate to piggy back on this thread, but I'm shamelessly fishing for members!!!
Patricia, too bad we can't move your city near ours!!! Anyone out there in GR that wants to cook??

Patti,
I just talked to Tracey67 through email and I am interested. This would be great for us girls to get together as "foodies" to experiment with different tastes. I am waiting to hear from my sister (sisofmamasue) to see if she is interested too. Maybe starting in the fall would be good. :)

I tried posting a number of times for a Supper Club in the NW Denver or Boulder Colorado area. We did get one response, but would be interested in finding some additional people as well. If anyone is interested, please contact me :)

I'm a member of a supper club in the Connecticut area (we're all over the map) and it's been a lot of fun, though I could wish that some of the CL recipes weren't so much on the bland side  (Got embarrassed but good when I made the oriental meatballs from the March 1996 issue)
Anyhow, I did a search for Boston supper clubs, and here are the search results. ditto for Boulder. Fargo, ND search turned up nothing, so maybe some campaigning is needed.
Boston supper club search:

Sounds like a lot of people were interested, but it couldn't get off the ground. My suggestion (worked for my group): meet in a restaurant the first couple times till you're comfortable with each other.
Denver or Boulder:

Did they have a supper club article in August's issue? If so, then I'm quoted in it.

I think that would be great - the fall sounds like a good idea!
