Welcome back! Many folks moving or about to this month. I don't know if it will be easier or harder for you to catch on after being away during the switch. The BB was down for over a week and many BB starved souls were busily checking everything out when we first got back. There were lots of active threads helping each other learn our way around, but now you have lots of folks to ask questions.

The first thing you may learn is that this reply will cause you to get an e-mail alerting you unless you deselected the default setting when re-registering. If so, and you don't want a million e-mails to sort through, got up to that handy user cp botton near the top center of the screen. Then look for edit options near the center of the next screen, about 1/3 of the way down. You'll find lots of choices there, including e-mail notification, signatures, titles, and avatars (those cute little graphics under everyones names). Check 'em out, have fun, call for help, and let us know if you discover something we've missed.

Welcome back, Tammy.

This isn't just a new look, this is a whole new everything. CL was having server problems for some time and finally attempted a move to AOL around June 28. Once they settled in, they discovered the old software wasn't compatible with the new server and we were down for quite some time while CL was trying to get the old software to stabilize. Finally, around July 9 or so we were back on line with a whole new software which allows all kinds of nifty options.

In addition, since the old software had storage issues (they had to start archiving after we'd amassed 50,000 posts) this new software apparently doesn't have such limitations. As a result, the old "Archives: Archives" and "FAQ Archives" are gone and all the stuff which was in them has been restored to the active forums. The only remaining archive is "Popular Threads Archive," but since the search mechanism on this software is much more sophisticated than the old board, you don't have to run separate searches anymore. After the old software, this is kind of like getting a rocket after you've been using a pony cart!

If you feel industrious and run a thread on something like "bulletin board," you'll find several threads answering questions as we were all learning the ropes.
