I'm new to the Pacific Northwest. I'm in Everett. I'm not really set up to host yet...lack of much furniture...but I'd love to be involved.

I'm interested. I live in W. Seattle but I don't have a car so I'd love to get togehter with folks who's "kitchens" are accessible by bus and not to far out of the city of Seattle. I've got a decent house to host as well. Let me know what happens.

I would love to join a supper club in the Seattle/Eastside area! I live in a house in downtown Bellevue and would love to host or participate in any way. I'm new to the area - recently moved here from Texas. Please email me if a club is organized in this area (or if you need help organizing it)!

Hello,

I'm interested in participating in a Supper club in the Seattle area. I live in West Kent, just a few minutes from Tukwila. I work in downtown Seattle, and am interested in meeting others over some good healthy cooking! This would be a great way for me to *polish* up my skills!

Hi!

I'm Michele (28) and my husband Kurt (35) and I would like to join/form a supper club... Cuisine is more important than location... I eat fish, but not poultry or meat; we'd like to join a club with couples or a mix of singles and couples, that emphasizes seafood.

I live in the Kirkland area and would be interested in joining a supper club on the Eastside. It sounds like there is enough interest to get started with an Eastside club and a more Seattle-based area club.

OK, now that we know there is plenty of interest we need to narrow this down a little. I've heard suggestions of forming small groups according to area, and a vegetarian group may be forming also. These are the specifics that I am looking for... I'd like to form a group of 4-8 women that meets once a month. Once or twice a year we would plan a mixer to which we would bring a guest/spouse. I'd like to keep it small for social and spacial reasons, easier to organize and less scheduling conflicts. Does this sound good to anyone?

*Thanks for all the interest, our group is now full and we're meeting this weekend! I suggest posting another thread with the same details and get another group or two going!

A supper club in North Seattle sounds great! I live in the Fremont/Ballard area. Don't have a vehicle but can take Metro or share in carpooling costs. I do have a great view but a rather small kitchen! Thanks. kristen_nichelson@juno.com

Liz and others!

Count me in! I liked your suggestion of getting specific! It definately sounds like there is enough interest. I also think the idea of 4-8 women meeting monthly with a couple of larger social events is great... makes things easier for getting to know eachother! I too live in N. Seattle but am definately willing to travel to other areas of the city! I think it would be fun to have some type of theme for each meeting. Any ideas? Maybe it would be good to start to think about a date. Do weekends or weekdays work best?

I will keep checking here for details and am willing to help organize!

Looks as though there is a lot of interest in the supper clubs. I posted before saying that I live in North Seattle and my boyfriend lives in Redmond. We would like to begin a supper club that includes about 5 couples. We can both travel and host, preferring to meet once per month. Please email me back so we can all meet somewhere in September to brainstorm and make final plans as a group. My email is eball725@aol.com. Thanks, Elissa

I know now there is lots of interest...even though I don't mind traveling, I wondered if there were enough people to start a club in the Everett/Lynnwood, etc area. If you would be interested...email me at lhoward1@visto.co, and lets get started!

Has an Eastside Cooking Club formed yet? Please contact me and let me know if there is room. If one club is full with the 4-8 people, I'd be interested in starting another. I live in Kirkland and prefer to stay on the Eastside...Thanks! K

I am interested in joining a Eastside supperclub. I am most interested in joining a group of 4-8 people that meets once a month. Weekends are a bit easier, but during the week can be arranged. I am willing to help organize.

I was wondering if there had been any interest in a Snohomish County club? I'm tentative at this point, because I just got my first issue of Cooking Light, after hearing the raves of a couple of co-workers, and jumped online to check out this supper club thing. :) I am a 'soccer mom' (good grief..I'm not sure when I turned into that, but...), and was interested in finding a group that meets once a month or so, that my husband and I could join together in order to have something we do together besides housework and chauffeuring the kids around. I'm 35 (until Monday), and he's 31, and we live in Monroe. After we finish some remodeling we're starting this month, our house is pretty good for entertaining, although we're chair challenged. We always seem to manage, though. We like to meet new people, and Snohomish County is our neighborhood. We're pretty laid-back people, both in the software/technology business, and I love to cook, but just don't seem to have the time much anymore. It would be good to have a reason to do it again.

Thanks!

Hi, Just signed in and saw all the interest in supper clubs. I noticed you all were starting to get specific, so I thought I'd hop in now at the start. My husband and I live in West Seattle and are interested in a Seattle group (willing to travel). We have a small home and would love to host as well. What do I do now? Keep checking the website?

Just reading all the messages again and it looks like there are at least 3 groups forming. (If there are more, add them to the list)

1. Snohomish/Lynwood/Everett
2. Eastside
3. Seattle (this one may be subdivided into 3-- women/couples/vegetarian)

This might help to get the groups rolling. Maybe there should be a contact person for each group. Any Volunteers? I would be happy to do the Seattle Couples.

I am in Bellingham (90 miles north of downtown Seattle) and so may be more north than most of you would like. But I am happy to commute, and anyone wishing to make a trek up to the NW corner would be most welcome.

Hi Kristen and others,

My husband and I would love to be part of the Seattle area couples club. We are in our mid-twenties and live in Kent, but are willing to travel to Seattle and host, as well. (I work in Capitol Hill). Thanks for being a contact for this group. Keep me informed if a group works out. Thanks! (I can be reached at amy_skarbo@hotmail.com). :p

Anyone interested in a West Seattle/ Central Seattle Supper Club? We have about 4-6 singles/couples to start and we are still rounding up the group for our first meeting. We decided to do a mixed group of singles and couples. So, if you interested check out the West Seattle/ Central Seattle thread and/or leave me an email @ JMakinen@Ridgid.com.

Let's get cooking!
