I'm fine! I just mean that when it rains, my scaredy cat hides in the closet...he hates thunder. :D:D:D:D:D But thanks for the concern. ;)
I understood. ;)
Can you pass some of that rain down here? It's hot and dry. Whew!

That's funny! When I first met DH's mother I found out she took naps on the floor in the closet with the door closed. One day we walked in and she was asleep on the floor under a table in her living room. We thought she was dead. It scared us half to death!

Susan, the ex and I used to take shares out on Fire Island each summer. One summer we had a house on the bay (as opposed to ocean) side, and the thunder and lightning over the water were monumental. We used to take Maude, my first Springer, out there with us, and during one storm she disappeared completely. We did some looking around in all the bedrooms and closets with no luck. Back in the living room, someone pointed to the couch, which was an old fashioned style with a dust ruffle, where only her brown nose was barely protruding from underneath it.

My 12 1/2 year old canine companion thinks she needs to be in the bathtub during storms, so I race her (she's slower now) to get the front bathroom door closed before she breaks something getting in there.
I've tried everything to calm her down, but thunder and fireworks scare her to the point of shaking like a leaf (she's 70 pounds).
Poor things!

Fortunately, none of the boys we have now are afraid of storms! But Bailey was a total mess even if he heard thunder miles away! And fireworks were right out!

My shepherd hides in the shower, at our old house she would climb in the bathtub with me if I was taking a shower and it was thundering.

My cat hides in the covered litterbox in the basement during thunderstorms. We can't get her out of it for anything. She knows exactly where she needs to be for safety's sake! :D
