Hello,
Is there anyone out there in relative proximity to myself who would like to start a supper club? I was a part of a supper club a few years ago and it was a lot of fun, but we disbanded due to people moving away and conflicting schedules.
Some info about myself: I live in Covington, KY, I'm 34 yrs old, married, no kids. I love to perform "cooking experiments", eat any kind of food - the more exotic the better, drink wine and cocktails, and engage in interesting conversation with people from all walks of life. If anyone has similar interests and would like to organize a supper club please contact me!

I totally am interested. I love to bake, and cook. I live in Cincinnati since November but still consider myself a Kentuckian. I am 27, have a boyfriend. I am really interested in joining the club.
Thanks

Wow! I didn't expect to get a response so soon! But great, I'm so glad you're interested! Let's wait to see if anyone else responds. Usually Cooking Light magazine starts talking about their supper clubs in the Fall, so more people start becoming interesting then. Where in Cinti do you live?

I live in Oakely. I have never been in a supper club. I love food, and I love making food, especially deserts. I am not the best cook, but I am learning. Have you been in alot of supper clubs? How do they run?

I have only been in one supper club and it lasted for about a year. I think one of the reasons we disbanded is because we all lived so far apart from each other. So I'm glad you live in Oakly because that's close to where I live. Do you know anyone else who might be interested in joining? I don't mind if they're male, female, single, or couples. A love of food is the only requirement!
I dosn't matter if your not the greatest cook in the world, I'm still learning too. One of the things about the supper club I really enjoyed was the chance to experiment with new recipe's, and believe me they didn't all work out that great! The club can be run any way we want it to. We could take turns hosting, choose different themes or cuisines, meet once a month or every other month. The club I was in met for the first time in a restaurant so we could all get to know each other and to figure out how we wanted to organize things. Well, hopefully some other people will want to join us!

I would like that. I am really new to the area and don't know alot of people. Thats kind of why I want to join the club. One suggestion, is to advertise on Craigslist to see if there are other people who want to join a supper club. I am sorry I don't reply sooner, I just forget to check for replies. DO you know anyone who would be interested?

Craigslist is a good idea. I was also thinking of maybe putting up a flyer in Whole Foods Market or some place. I really don't know of any one else. But I say give it some time, we may get some bites!
