tea bag and spice expiration question

Does anyone know how long tea bags and spices are good? I am cleaning out my pantry and am not sure what to throw out.

If there isn't much of a scent anymore, you can toss it. If it still smells like what it is, you can keep it. If it doesn't smell STRONGLY of what it is, it won't be as potent but can still be used.
