How are some of you adding new custom avatars when Maelynn says we are no longer able to?? Also, where do you guys find all these great images?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I appologize if this is a dumb or already asked question, but hey, this is Erin we're talking about!

TIA Erin

erin....within the past couple of days I noticed that the custom avatars were working. Basically you have to find some graphics on the WWW that meet the size which is 50 x 50 pixels. Anything bigger than that will not work. Once you find a graphic you like you have to download to a free website or your own, if you have one, so that it will have your url address. Saving one to your hard drive and then applying it here will not work.

At the moment I have a website with www.homestead.com which is where I download graphics to. If you need some help, I can try to find what you would like and then download to my website and then give the url address to you to apply here. Give me some ideas on what you would like and I will go hunting around for you. Here are a few sites that I have bookmarked so far that has small graphics:

Not sure how I got my custom avatar to work, but I am glad I did. I think it might of had something to do with my browser. When I attempted to update my custom avatar from my home computer using Netscape, it didn't work. When I attemped to do the same thing from work my computer using Internet Explore, I got my dancing smile.

Good Luck!

I got mine on www.smilecwm.com and their site essenstially says 'take 'em if you want 'em!' You look through till you find a little guy that will work for you, highlight the URL next to it, do the control/C 'copy' thing, then do the control/v 'paste' thing to drop it into the Custom Avatar section of your profile. You just have to NOT highlight the [IMG] thing on both ends, and don't highlight the http//:www thing either. Just after the www and before the final [IMG]. Confused yet?

If I can do it anyone can!! :D
