Tried these last night and they were a hit. We had gargantuan (sp?) scallops so we cooked them about 2 minutes longer than suggested. It is a great glaze, I think next time I will double the glaze. Had not tried green onions on the grill, loved them!! The mushrooms really soaked up the glaze and were very yummy. Another repeater!! We gave it a 4.5 out of 5. LaurieC

Thanks for the review, as I was on the fence about this one.

What size shrimp do you use for grilling? I typically buy medium-size shrimp (I think it's the 20 count), but have been eyeing the mega jumbo shrimp (it's about 4-6 per pound, I think). Wondering if they're worth the extra expense.

Green onions on the grill are **yummy**! I don't remember what this recipe calls for, but we just take whole green onions and plot them on the grill till they're brown. It's the only time I'll eat plain onions.

I bought the extra large shrimp (16-20 count) but in retrospect should have bought the colossal (10-15 count) because the scallops were so huge. The scallops were perfectly cooked but the shrimp were a tiny bit overcooked. Not by most people's standards! We like our seafood cooked medium rare. This was a very easy recipe. Good Luck! LaurieC

I want to thank you too for the review. I have had my eye on this one and will try it soon. These are my two favorite shellfish. :)

We made these, too, early last week (just never got around to posting a review, plus skipped town for 5 days!). They were quite a hit here, too. And, yes, our scallops were huge! Just cut them in half before skewering them.

Made these two nights ago and LOVED them. We used the large shrimp 20 -24 per pound and worked out wonderfully. Hubby had trouble cooking everything evenly - maybe because I only had 4 skewers and jammed them with the seafood - so he took them off of the skewers to finish cooking.

We made these last nite and they were excellent. I would recommend cooking the shrimp, scallops and veggies on seperate skewers, since they all have different cooking times. Turns out that our onions were a little over done. I also think that the glaze needs to be doubled.
