It was one of those things I bought at [b]Trader Joe’s [b]because it looked interesting. I tasted them and thought, ewww, I don’t like these. My husband then quizzed me on why I continued eating them if I didn’t like them. It is just one of those things. I couldn't stop eating them.

I recommend giving these a try. They are definitely spicy but strangely addicting. Another way of incorporating a little soy into your diet. If nothing else, you can’t eat too many of these, so if you set them out as your munchie I don’t think you will over-indulge. They are also great for clearing out sinuses :D

Has anyone else tried these? By the way, the honey roasted soy nuts are also good. I personally don’t care for the plain, salted kind.

I have tasted those exact things before. We have a Trader Joes near by. My dad used to by the mixed bags of "oriental" mix with the rice crackers and wasabi peas and soy nuts. He would just pick out the peas and soy nuts. So, when I saw the bags of just the peas and just the soy I bought up a few bags right away to give to him.

I agree that they are a strange little snack that absolutely grows on you. I can't buy them often because I can eat a bunch in one sitting.

Catharine - I totally agree w/you. At first taste they were way too spicy, but after trying them again several days later I decided they're pretty good (in small doses).

I've never seen the wasabi soy nuts, but love wasabi peas. DH always says "how can you eat those, you hate cooked peas". I could eat and eat them. Even when my nose starts to run from the heat. :D
