I've decided to make Opposing-Sides Bean dip to take to the picnic we've been invited to along with Garlic Pita Chips. But when making the pita chips, do I split the top and bottom half of the pita bread from each other before cutting them into wedges, or should be pita chip consist of both layers together? TIA!!

I've only made pita chips once, but I split them. I like a thinner chip.

I agree with Angela.

I prefer to split them but have had them unsplit and they aren't too bad. I have been curious about this dip. Let us know how it works out.

Another splitter here.

Thanks for the advice! I have also split them in the past, but the recipe for Garlic Pita Chips (on the CL recipe search) didn't mention splitting them, so I wasn't sure. I'll post a review of the dip after the party.

I tend to do both.

When I make garlic chips, I always split the pita, but if I'm serving pita chips with... lets say hummus I don't split them.

I think it probably depends on what your serving them with.
