I'm seeing a lot of poetry, song lyrics, and famous quotes, and I'm curious how all of you that are using signature lines chose them?
Since I'm asking, I'll start...this quote was the logo for my favorite movie of all time, 'The Shawshank Redemption'. I also feel it says pretty clearly exactly how I want to live my life. There's been enough trauma, enough hard times, enough fear. It's time for hope!
So what does yours mean? :)
Well, I have a dog calendar, and each month has a quote....so I just picked one that I liked.
I plan to change it (like my signature) frequently. That's one great thing I love about these new BBs!

My first one cooking is like love...it should be entered into with abandon or not at all....I saw and thought it fit me and this board.
The one I changed to was one I saw in an ad for a new CD and really liked it, so I changed. Im sure Ill change again.....

I have a "Franklin Day Planner" which has a quote of the day. This quote was from about a week ago, but it's something I've seen before and has stuck with me, and I TRY to abide by it.

I searched the internet for cooking quotes and came up with a website full of them. I found many that I liked, so I may have to change mine soon. For some reason, I really wanted to find something that used basil in the quote - I really didn't expect to find one! I don't know if the quote makes any sense at all, but it sounded whimsical! ;)

I love Jimmy Buffet and his songs are so fitting for our lifestyle - generally always living around the ocean.
I tried changing my font style and color, but it didn't work. Has anyone else tried to do this?

I change mine every week, or whenever I think of it.

I haven't picked one yet, but am happily searching for something food related.
I was reading The Man Who Ate Everything by Jeffrey Steingarten and kept finding one thing after another in the first few chapters that I thought I'd pick, but I haven't settled on anything yet.

I plan to change mine often- the latest I came upon in an ad in Sunset magazine....
Hi,
I collect quotes, and I peruse them occasionally when I have the time, and I like to use them when I can. I figure that since we can use them as a signature line I will share some of them with the rest of you fine folks. When I put a quote on as a signature it is one that I like, and I hope it is one others will enjoy too.

I picked mine from a list of quotes about books, because I am a reading addict, plain and simple.

I love Jimmy Buffet too, and have gone through his list of songs in my head, hoping to come up with something quite fitting.
The only thing that struck me at this time was "I'm an over 40 victim of fate" - but the thing is, I'm not yet!!!! (over 40 that is) :D
I can't even remember where I heard mine, but it fits. I will change mine periodically, much like my avatar and my title.

No signature for me yet .
Jewel - "The Shawshank Redemption" is also one of my favorite movies. I'm not a big TV watcher, but I seem to catch it on cable a lot and I always have to watch to the end, even though I've seen it countless times before.

Just love the song that this quote is from and it kept resonating in my head/life for a few days so I posted it. I plan on changing mine eventually when the mood strikes.

Our friends gave us scented mug mats for Christmas one year (they have spices in them that release smells when you put a hot mug on them) and one of them had this quote. I've always really like it and I thought it fit the board in some ways. I'm starting to get antsy for a new one though, so I'll probably change it soon.

I just picked something from my "inspiration list" - a list of random quotes, song lyrics, etc. that have inspired me in some way.

Found mine on a wine quote page. I read it and thought, yeah, that's it what good champagne tastes like. It makes me think of all the good times that champagne was used in celebrating.

I just found mine in a cooking magazine. I had just finished reading the thread about stuff you're addicted to so it seemed appropriate at the time.;)
