Hi there,
I'm having a problem with the saved recipes file on myrecipes.com. I've tried emailing them to ask for help and have not received a response.
The issue is accessing the recipes in one of the categories I've created. It says there are 39 recipes in there, but when I click on it, it just loads a blank page. I've tried from different computers and the same thing happens. I can still add recipes to it (the number changes, but it still won't load), and all the other categories load fine. It is the category that you get by default when you first use the 'my saved recipes' feature - the one that cannot be deleted.
It's very frustrating, especially receiving no help from their website. Any tech savvy people here with any ideas for me to try?
Thanks in advance,
Amy

Unfortunately, I'm not much help, but just wanted to add that I am having the exact same problem. I have e-mailed both Cooking Light and My Recipes and have received no help.

Hey folks--
Can you please tell me what e-mail address(es) you e-mailed at cookinglight and myrecipes that didn't respond? I check cl_comeditor@timeinc.com, which is our Web site e-mail address, and respond to every e-mail I get. I am also forwarded all website-related e-mail that comes in from our customer service department. The equivalent e-mail for myrecipes is contactus@myrecipes.com. If you e-mail that address, I promise someone will respond about the recipe file problems.
Thanks, and good luck.

Thanks for your help on this. I e-mailed Cooking Light at the cookinglight@customersvc.com address. I was unsure what else to do because when I clicked on the Report an Error link, this was the only e-mail address that I saw. I received a response saying that my e-mail was forwarded to the office that can assist with this type of inquiry, however, this was weeks ago, and have not heard anything further. As far as My Recipes, I used a web form from the site that said contact us - again, I was unsure where to turn.
I continue to have the same problem with My Recipe File, so I will used the address you provided to contact them again.
Thanks again for the help.

I'm having the same problem--blank page when I try to access my saved files. I, too, e-mailed them and haven't received a reply. I clicked the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of their page.

I also used the "contact us" link on the myrecipes website. I chose the "website problems" category and still haven't heard anything back after trying twice. I haven't emailed cooking light because I thought it was a separate issue, but I will try that next.
Thanks for responding, it's appreciated!

Hi all--
I'm really sorry for your messages being ignored. We've been having some trouble lately with our customer service department forwarding e-mails to the right people. I will be sending this information on to them in hopes that they can get the problem solved. In the meantime, please e-mail either cl_comeditor@timeinc.com for cookinglight.com or contactus@myrecipes.com for myrecipes.com for questions/comments/complains/etc.

I e-mailed both of the addresses you provided last night - no response yet! Hope to hear something on this soon.

Has anyone had a response or had the situation resolved? I haven't heard a thing and I'm still getting the blank page when trying to access my recipes.

No - haven't heard a thing. I e-mailed both addresses that the CLModerator who responded to this thread suggested, and still have not gotten a response. I'm still having the same issue and getting VERY frustrated.
I hope others that are having this problem e-mailed the suggested addresses as well. I figure that if they hear it enough, they may actually DO something about it!

I emailed both addresses, and heard back from someone at Cooking Light. Unfortunately he said that it was beyond his control, but he could get in touch with the people who could help if we don't hear anything. I still haven't gotten a response from them; I'll give them another day or two I guess and then see if the person from Cooking Light can help.
I didn't really like myrecipes.com very much in the first place; it was easier to navigate Cooking Light and its recipes before they were officially part of myrecipes.com. But that feature was one thing that was actually pretty useful. On the other hand, I'm not going to keep wasting my time with it if I will just end up losing anything I put in there.
Hopefully they at least REALIZE there is a problem and are working on it...?

I agree. If I ever get my recipes back that I saved there, I'm saving them to Big Oven (the recipe management software I use) and never using theirs again. I liked MyRecipes because you can access all the recipes from Real Simple, Southern Living, and Cooking Light, and it was quick and easy to save them there. Kept me from doing a lot of clipping pages and/or copying to another program.

Hi all--
I'm very sorry for all the problems you're having with My Recipe File. All I can offer right now is to tell you that, yes, we most definitely know there is a problem, and we are most definitely working on a fix. There will eventually be a complete relaunch of the recipe file function and it will work much better, but that won't happen for a few months and right now we're trying to fix the bugs. Your best bet is to e-mail contactus@myrecipes.com for help. It may take a few days, but you absolutely should get a response.
To anyone who e-mailed cl_comeditor@timeinc.com and didn't get a response--I am the person who checks that e-mail address and I respond to every e-mail I get. Please resend your message, making sure you've got the address correct.

Just an update, I heard back from myrecipes.com. They said the recipes are not lost, and that they are aware people are having a problem with it and that they're working on it. So...give it a try every once in awhile maybe? At least we heard back finally.
And thanks to Cooking Light for your interest and response; I think the most frustrating thing was not hearing anything at all, so I appreciate you keeping tabs on the problem even if it's not something you have control over. Thanks!

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with this issue? I got a generic response from myrecipes.com, but have not heard anything since.
PLEASE bring back the saved recipes!!

I haven't received a response from them, but I am able to access one of my files now. I'm still getting a blank page on the other file. I only have two--Favorites and To Try--and, fortunately, the one I can access is Favorites. So I need to get busy copying them into my recipe software before I lose them again.
