Our Supper Club had it's meeting last weekend and we focused on the Greek Recipes from the July '01 issue. Since there were minimal reviews for these recipes on the Great Food Bulletin Board, I posted detailed summaries of our findings on a post over there titled Review: Greek Recipes - July 2001 . However, to continue to support this board, I will post our entire menu and a review of the other items here.

Split Pea-Garlic Dip(CL July '01) (see review on Food BB)

Meat, Bulgar and Rice Dolmades(CL July '01) (see review on Food BB)

Roasted Red Pepper, Artichoke and Black Olive Dip (Bon Appetit July '01) This was absolutely fabulous! I think this was the only recipe we were all in perfect agreement on. If anyone doesn't have this issue and would like the recipe, I would be happy to post it. It simply must be shared!!

Greek Salad with Feta and Olives (Complete CL Cookbook) Actually, we all loved this one too. It was very refreshing. A great mixture of vegetables; very colorful and the vinaigrette was outstanding. A repeater in all of our homes.

Greens and Cheese Pie (CL July '01) (see review on Food BB)

Moussaka with Eggplant and Peppers and Yogurt Bechamel (CL July '01) (see review on Food BB)

Rolled Baklava (CL July '01) (See review on Food BB)

Lemon-Ginger Sorbetto (CL July '01) The majority of us were very happy with this recipe. We thought it was refreshing and a great palate cleanser. One member felt it was too tart and sour.

Lately we have been planning our dinners around the Cooking Class articles. It's been lots of fun trying different types of food that we might not have had the courage to try on our own. Looks like our next dinner will be using the Spain recipes from the August issue.
