Has anybody else been unable to find Boca Breakfast Links at the grocery store recently? They've been a staple of my breakfast for years and they are the only brand of meatless breakfast link that I like.
I've not been able to find them in the grocery stores (HEB and Central Market) around here for the last few weeks. Anybody else have this problem in their area? I've seen the Boca Breakfast links made with organic soy--but not the ones made with "regular" soy.
TIA

Sorry I can't help you with the links. Not sure if this is connected but I can't find their Boca Burgers. My local WF has a sign in the freezer section that the Boca Burgers are not currently available from their vendor. It's been that way for at least two months. I can't find them at a regular market either (I only checked on other local store).
I called Boca and they said they are having a trouble keeping up with their demand. Hmm.

It strikes me as odd that they'd offer them both ways. Are you sure they just didn't switch to organic soy entirely, or just add that to the label?

Sara - I feel your pain in not finding a product you adore any more. Happens to me all the time. I know you said you didn't like any other meatless links; have you tried Morningstar Farms? I actually like them better than Boca. Just a thought.... maybe the Boca ones will come back in stock. Our Walmart store here actually has a better selection of Boca/MSF than my regular grocery store.

I guess it is possible that they have switched to organic soy only. I've looked at their web page and they still list both "regular" soy and "oragnic" soy as two different types.

That is interesting--I've not looked for Boca Burgers in a few weeks but will do so when I go to the store today to see if all Boca products have gone missing.

I can't remember which ones I've tried---I'll look in my freezer when I get home to see what kind I've tasted.

Funny you say that the links are gone because my breakfast staple up until a month ago was the Boca breakfast patty, then they went missing and all I could find was the links. They have since discontinued carrying the patties in my grocery store. I tried the organic kind and did not like them at all compared to the regular - the texture was too squishy and they did not have the same flavor at all.
Upon further research (I was on the hunt for these patties) I learned about the regular Boca products and the fact that they are made with GMO soy, so I decided to make a clean break and stop eating them. I am eager to experiment with some other brands that are GMO-free.
I am sure that there are plenty of foods I eat that are GMO, but it's something I am trying to be more aware of and avoid if possible. There is a lot of controversy online about Boca in particular, so I figure with all of the veggie options lining the shelves now it's a good excuse to experiment.
Although I have to admit I kind of miss them! I was seriously addicted to those breakfast patties!

i like them both, differently, but always brushed with a little maple syrup as they cook-- it makes them so very good. roasted cumin is also nice.
But Trader Joe's also has really good meatless breakfast patties. Great on an english muffin, too.

Alas, we have no Trader Joe's in Austin--much to my dismay.
