Periodically, I look back through my CL annual books for recipes I overlooked the first time around. Tonight, I made a wonderful recipe called "Glazed Sesame Pork." It was easy to make after work and absolutely delicious. I don't know how I missed this one, as I make the Lemon-Garlic Chicken Thighs from the same month all the time. Here's the recipe:

1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
5 (6 oz.) center-cut pork chops
2 teaspoons dark sesame oil
3/4 cup low-salt chicken broth
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 table spoons red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Sprinke 1/4 teaspoon salt and peopper evenly both sides of the pork. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork, and cook three minutes on each side or until browned. Add remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt, broth, and remaining ingredients; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Uncover and simmer an additional 20 minutes or until tender. Serve pork with sauce. Yield: 5 servings (serving size 1 pork chop and about 2 T sauce). Calories 275 (45% from fat).

Thanks for the review. That recipe has been in my "to try" file a long time. I will bump it up some now.

I make this one all the time. I especially like it over pine nut couscous when it's cold out.

Well, I finally got around to making this last night. Very good, and easy to do. I served it with Roasted Corn-and-Garlic couscous. Thanks for turning me on to the recipe.:D

I was searching the CL recipe finder for a pork chop recipe and came across this one. I made it Monday night. It was easy and SO good. DH and I loved it and will definitely make it again. I did think the sauce would be more of a glaze based on the title, but mine was more of a sauce. Oh well, it was still tasty. I served it with basmati rice, which was great, soaked up the sauce! And served it w/ the Asian Style Edamame and Corn recipe Lindrusso posted a while ago, another one of our favorites.
