Double Messages?

Anyone else receiving more than one email when someone responds to a thread? From what I understand, you should only receive one message about posting(s) to a particular thread, and then no additional messages until you check that thread or the board again. Yesterday I got three messages in a row about the same thread, and I hadn’t checked it in between the messages (which were sent two-three minutes apart). Maybe its just me.

I have this feature turned off, but my understanding is that you do get an email EVERY time someone reponds to a thread. I don't believe it keeps track of the last time you checked, etc.

I just looked back at the last message I received and it says “There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the board again.”

Could it be that since I have the board open in another window I am confusing the system?
