I just made this cake and as advertised it is quick and easy. However, I had trouble getting it out of the pan. I cooled it for 10 minutes and then tried to get it out of the pan. I had to run a knife along the edge and I still had a piece break off. However, this did give me an excuse to try it before dinner time and I must say it was very chocolaty and had a nice texture. My son also gave it a thumbs up. When I make it again I will be sure to oil and dust the pan real well. I think I will also just leave it in the pan if possible (I only have one 8-inch square pan, though). Did anyone else have this problem or is it just me?;)

I haven't tried the cake yet, but have made the pineapple upside down cake and the blueberry pecan cake, both from the same article. Both were good, and I didn't have trouble getting either out of the pan. My trick for getting a cake out of the pan every time is to line the bottom with parchment paper. Until I figured this out, I couldn't get a cake out of a pan without breaking it up to save my life (I hate non-stick pans and refuse to use them). Thanks for the review, by the way-I'll probably try this one soon.
