Hope everyone had a great weekend.
we had a good one going and then it deteriorated. ( last friday I did bike and treadmill, and then GS biceps) Saturday we hiked. very nice, still warm, and we went far enough east to get out of most of the snow. when we went to bed though we discovered that we had a water leak since our last camping trip and the mattress was wet. and it was cold. Not a good night. but DH got the "wet spot". tee hee!

sunday we dealt with assorted problems. planned on hiking but we had a truck (mechanical) problem so came home planning to drop it at the dealer. but we had the camper and had to take it off first. so naturally:mad:, one of the jacks broke while taking camper off, making it impossible to remove the camper. the 4 jacks support it and no way would it stand up on 3 jacks. so I spent half the day trying to get the jack fixed and ended up oprdering a new one which I can get tomorrow. other than that, it was a great weekend. I'm heading down to exercise now and will probably do treadmill and elliptical. sometimes junk gets in the way of the best intentions!.

Well, the workout week is starting on Tuesday - an improvement over last week! I did Step Blast this morning - very sweaty!!

Valerie - It's always something, isn't it? Drives me crazy. Glad you were able to find some redeeming value in the weekend!

OMG I am still having the same problems trying to get into this site!!!! ARe you guys having any issues - the secure vs nonsecure tabs - it keeps taking me out and I have to log in 2 -3 times! ARGH.

ANYWAY..... Sat morning I was moving things around in my storage closet in the basement.... in my socks.... (can you see where this is going?!) and DH has the heavy free weights stacked in there... NOW can you see where this is going????? Yes, a 40 lb free weight rolled onto my 3rd toe. Only my 3rd toe. It's black.blue.green. purple.... probably broken.. but I don't want to pay $100 to get an xray and have them tape my toes together.

SO... my school nurse told me no cardio for a week:( I've been limping around in my earth shoes (I'm on the heel and it's wide in the toes). I haven't done a thing. I told myself arms/abs... but we've had parent/teacher conferences - DH is away for 5 days.... anyway I'm going to try to get something in. sigh.

Hey Valerie - you roll with life's punches - 3 jacks definately won't work for a camper. Hope you got some cardio in on Sunday and Monday!!!

Stacy - You got started - that's what it's all about. Good for you. I love Step Blast.:)

Ok saga over. Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

OK I wore "normal" shoes today and climbed steps without much of a problem! I also bought a new FIRM DVD today at Borders to give me extra incentive :D Tomorrow.... a new workout with a purple toe!!!;)

Too funny charisse... a good reason not to clean closets! that must have smarted. stacy, hope your workout week is ending strong. Anyone heard from michelle? Michelle, check in if you're out there.

monday was a light day because of the overwhelming number of things to do. got in a bike warm up and a fast 30 on the treadmill. tuesday morning yoga class, bike, elliptical, and treadmill. wed we hiked. it was not a long one but we had truck issues needing to be done. ended up being about 3 hour hike. nice weather but incredibly windy on top , so windy we could barely stand up. decided this was not the place to try and eat lunch. Our poor truck looks like it needs a new transmission. will get the news probably later today. still possible it's something less drastic.

Today I plan on 30 of cardio something and then probably GS biceps.

What a drudge of a week!

Well, I tried to post yesterday and lost it so I'll try again today! Needless to say, YES, I'm having issues with the web site!! :mad:

Charisse -- Your poor toe!!! What a drag - I'm sure that really hurt! I'm surprised you're climbing stairs already but good for you! Hope it continues to heal quickly. Enjoy that new DVD!!

Valerie -- The fun continues, huh? Good job fitting in the exercise when you can.

Yesterday I did Power Hour. I remember thinking that there sure were a lot of squats & lunges. And I skipped my leg workout for the last couple of weeks. Need I tell you how sore I am today???? :eek: I swear, I can hardly walk. My quads are soooooo sore. Skipped today - there was just no way. So I'll try do KPC tomorrow. Guess I'll make sure to get my leg work done in the future - I forgot how much I don't like feeling this way!!

I'm not having any particular problems posting. a couple times it loaded so slowly I quit and came back later but then things were fine.

Stacy, I should do either power hour or muscle max. I'll think about it, you've inspired me .... I miss the sensation of burning quads and calves...;) sometimes that's my incentive..... if I don't do "whatever" imagine how bad it will be in another week??? mother nature sure is cruel... you'd think conditioning would hold better than it does.

Charisse... toes get more than their share of abuse... I'm always surprised at how bad they can look and how quickly they work OK, even if they look bad. the colors can be amazing!

Oh my - best laid plans..... my shoe is sooooooo uncomfortable on my foot. I can't do it. So I tried to exercise in my socks... ummm. I thought I'd try my new DVD which has an express sculpting session - using a wide band. The exercises are gonna be great. I did what I could - I can feel it in my legs. So I did something - did some armwork and abs. I just need to keep doing something. AND keep trying on my sneaker!!!

Stacy - wow that lower body workout sounds killer!!! jello legs???

Valerie - I haven't hear from Michelle for a while - hope all is well!!

Tomorrow is FRIDAY - yee haw!-:)

I got in 20 each on bike, treadmill, elliptical plus coremax 2 and part of GS biceps. was going to finish but DH got done with work a little early.

we had another bad day..... when DH was coming back from lunch some old guy smashed into him by making a left turn out of his lane. fortunately it was in front of DH's office, and a police officer saw the whole thing. DH said he had patients to see in a couple minutes so the officer ticketed the other guy, filled out the report for DH and dropped it at his office. Talk about nice service! so although it wasn't his fault, I am the one who is inconvenienced the most. He'll take my car, and I need to get an estimate today and then it will be at least several days at the body shop. so we have 3 vehicles and two are out of commission.:(:mad: our truck won't be done until next week some time. I will likely need to get a rental car but that means I need to find someone to take me there etc. I hate to inconvenience other people like that! just a fender bender but what a PITA.
