I'm anticipating my Penzy's order this week. I ordered the salad sampler 4 pack and I was wondering how people liked them and what they used them for besides salad.

I am pretty picky about my salad dressings and have only in the last few years started using store bought vinagrettes, but never mayo based dressings. I was very excited about the penzy's dressing bases. I tried the creamy peppercorn and the greek vinagrette. I loved the creamy peppercorn with non fat sour cream and low fat mayo. I made it again recenty with miracle whip (I am not a big mayo/miracle whip person so I didn't really think), but now I can barely choke this stuff down. The greek vinagrette was also good, but I forgot to add the sugar at first. I think this is also one that gets better with time, so if it isn't good the first day, be patient. However, I did get very tired of this one quickly. Not sure why. I didn't really lighten this one very much, but I did use a 50:50 ratio of oil to basalmic vinegar instead of the 2/3:1/3 ratio it suggests.

I haven't used the dressings for anything else because I just got them and haven't come up with any experiements yet, but I do think the creamy peppercorn would be good with some raw celery.

I have the creamy peppercorn and love it! I'm not a big mayonnaise fan so I use a combination of buttermilk and/or lf sourcream or nf plain yogurt.
