Ever since the new changes were made, the site is EXTREMELY slow. :(
It makes using the site, very hard. I used to be able to go thread to thread w/o any delay. Also, when the thread loads, it takes a little bit before I can even scroll down on the page.
Can this be fixed?

I agree with the slow site. I love the CLBB and rely on it b/c I know hardly any cooks IRL, and it's exasperating to have to wait so long for e v e r y . . . s i n g l e . . . p a g e. :(
And it'd sure be cool if the cursor would pop right into the "reply" window when I'm replying . . . :)
Thanks!

I know!!! I hope they fix it soon. I am always up for making things better but I am not happy with this change AT ALL.

Hi guys--
We're trying to get the cursor-in-the-search-box thing fixed; it involves making changes to the overall code of the whole site, so it will take a little while to figure out.
The slowness problem is a little more tricky--not everyone is experiencing it, and if we can't reliably recreate the problem it's hard to figure out what's causing it. I will alert the tech team to this thread and see if there's anything they can do.

It would really be helpful to have the title back...:)

Well, I don't know if this will help track down the slowness issue or make it worse, but Debie's "Introduce Yourself thread!" thread is one place where I always seem to run into this issue. http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?t=123734
It loads very slowly and when I hit the "View First Unread" link it takes even longer and then pauses at the top of the page for awhile before it takes me to the first unread message.

One of the things I've noticed after the redesign is the way the page loads. Previously everything popped into place in its designated spot. Now, different elements load separately, and when new elements load, the previously-loaded things shift position. It's like everything loads flush-left first, then wiggles into place after the fact.

To those of you that are having page loading problems. Are you having these problems on both Firefox and IE? I realize that you want to use the browser that you were using before you started having problems but this might work as a temporary fix until everything is fixed permanently.

I agree with this. I use tabbed browsing exclusively, and it's very frustrating not to have the thread titles in the tabs the way it did before.

I do use Firefox. Although I haven't had the same slow-loading complaints that others have had, the funky loading pattern is annoying. You start to click on something, and it shifts because the page isn't fully loaded. :P
I'm also still having problems with logging in not "sticking."
