Moderators, thanks for all you do to keep the BB going. As much as I depend on the foodies here, I'm hoping a few little glitches can be smoothed out to make using the BB less cumbersome again. :)

First, is there a fix for the recurrence of the "security warning--do you want to display nonsecure items?" screen with every screen reload? I think a fix was mentioned, but I haven't seen an update for awhile.

Second, although I don't have problems with logging in or staying logged in, I used to be automatically logged in when I selected my subscriptions page from Favorites, but now I have to log in manually, and the fields don't autofill. Of course, I get the security warning there, too (I click Favorites for my subscriptions, get the warning, click "yes," get the "you are not logged in" screen, log in, get the warning, click "yes" . . . it's a long process).

Last, the screens all take a lot longer to load than b4 the redo; is that b/c of the new colors & advertising banners along the sides?

Thanks again! :)

Hiya--
I can't find the thread with the solution to the secure/non-secure items messages, but you essentially have two options:
1. Switch browsers from Internet Explorer to Firefox, which does not have this issue.
2. In IE, go to the Tools menu, and select Internet Options. Click the Security tab, and hit the Custom Level button in that tab. A window will pop up with lots and lots of different options. If you scroll down about halfway, you'll see an option labeled "Display mixed content." Change the setting for this from Prompt to Enable. After this, you will have to restart IE for the change to take effect, but that should solve the issue.

As for having to log in twice, you need to update your bookmark. It is probably http://community.cookinglight.com now; it needs to be https://community.cookinglight.com.

Unfortunately, I don't have any help for you with the slow loading--it's not happening to everyone and it could be caused by your internet connection, a problem with our servers, or something completely unrelated that neither of us have control over. Fixing the secure/non-secure items problem above should help the pages load a bit faster, however.

Thanks for the response. The #2 answer solved the annoying security warning problem that I was having.
