Interested in starting a supper club in San Diego? I'm interested in getting one going and am looking for singles or couples to join. I'm looking for no more than 4-5 cooks for the supper club. If each cook brings a guest we can end up with 8 - 10 people at a get together. That's a good size group.
Anyway, a little about me. I'm 52 yo, married for 29 years and enjoy cooking and photography. We also enjoy travel. We live in the Clairemont area of San Diego, but are willing to travel around a bit, 20 mile radius or so, to go to people's houses for supper club gatherings.
I'd suggest we have an informal get together in January at a neutral site such as a coffee shop or other easy to find place with adequate seating and we can discuss how we want our supper club to work.
Feel free to post replies here, PM me via the PM function here on the board, or email me. You can find my email address in my profile.
Looking forward to meeting some other people who enjoy cooking and eating. :D

I would be very interested in a new club. I was in a CL Supper Club a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I am married‚ but my husband is not a fan of cooking. He just likes to reap the rewards of my efforts. I live in Carmel Valley area and am willing to travel around San Diego.

Can I cheat on my current supper club? :D
I know this is something we'd probably discuss, but were you thinking of a weekend night? My current club meets on weeknights (except last night when we met for the Golden Globes) and that can be a challenge for me to actually do "good cooking" in that timeframe. So if you were envisioning a weekend, we might be on to something.

Hey Scout,
We much prefer weekends. Saturday over Sunday if possible.
I'm thinking we should have a get together in Mission Valley somewhere and discuss. Perhaps this coming Saturday the 17th around 3pm or so.

Wow...this might be what I've been looking for.... I live in University City and my husband, also, enjoys the gatherings but I am the cook. If you still are open, please let me know when I can meet with you. A coffee house is a nice idea!:

Hi,
I live in the downtown area of SD and am very interested in joining if there are any spots left:)
I started a CL supper club in SD 7 years ago. We met once a month up until a few months ago when the majority of our members moved out of SD within a few months of each other. I would love to join another club. DH doesn't cook and probably wouldn't come to gatherings although I'd like him to!
