I hate giving negative reviews, but this recipe was not very exciting. Edible, but not repeater material. The rub on the chicken didn't add much to the overall flavor and the salsa was somewhat unimaginative. CL has had much better fruit salsa recipes in the past. Will not repeat this one.

I made this one and really liked the rub- it gave the chicken a nice crust and kept it really juicy. I would agree on the salsa- have had some better CL ones, but I thought it also wad different, so I would make it again.

I made this also and my husband loved the chicken, hated the salsa. I would double the rub mixture next time. Funny thing is - I LOVED the salsa! I would definietly make that again and serve it with blue corn chips. I Didn't think it did anything for the chicken, but loved it on its own.

I only made two chicken breasts instead of the four that it called for but I didn't decrease the ingredients as far as the amount of seasoning to put on the chicken. So I basically had double "the rub" on the chicken. I thought it was wonderful. It gave it a great flavor. The salsa was OK. Maybe I needed riper plums or maybe it just didn't go with the chicken....I don't know....

It is so interesting how everyone has different impressions of the same recipe. Looks like I'm in the minority on this one! The rub on my chicken didn't form a crust on it like dmcgreevey's. Makes me think I did something wrong...? Anyway, I enjoy getting other people's perspectives.

Thanks for the feedback!

I'm kind of undecided on this. I thought it was OK, just not very exciting. It seemed like the salsa was missing something; my DW thought that it needed more liquied of some sort & I tend to agree. I doubt I'll make it again - I've come across many other chicken recipes with better fruit salsas.
