After duly logging in I finished typing a thoughtful reply to a thread. As I clicked "post" it happened again. "You are not logged in/have not permission..."
My message is lost and I would have to re-type. I have posted about this problem before here on General Tech Support.
I am not amused.

That used to happen to me when I first joined. I have no idea how I fixed the problem, but I did have a way around it: after you type your reply, do "select all" and then "copy" so that if you've been kicked out in the meantime, all you have to do is hit "paste" to put your reply into a new window after you've logged in again. :)

Sorry about that, Swedish cook. Did you click the remember me box when you logged in? I've never had that happen, and I've been logged in on this computer for a good 3 months straight.
Also, please make sure the URL starts with https, not http, in your BB bookmark. That could also have caused this problem.
If neither of those work, let me know and I'll look into this further.

I have often written everything in a word document to later copy & paste into the reply box. Your suggestion is much better. Thanks!

I have changed my bookmark to the https version. I have not clicked the remember me box as I'm not sure I could then log in from another PC. Am I too cautious?

Yes, you can log in from different computers even at the same time! Sometimes when I need to check a recipe here I'll just use DH's computer rather than running back upstairs where I'm always logged in.
