I made these last night. They are wonderful! They've become my favorite brownie recipe. My husband loved them (and I think my dog would have if she'd been allowed to sample them.) Which brings me to another topic... does anyone have a recipe for homemade dog treats? Or even a recipe for a cake or cookies for a dog? We adopted a beautiful dog from a shelter recently, and I would love to try making some homemade goodies for her.

MLynn,
I have several dog cookie recipes. Tonight I'll post 1 or 2 of my dog's favorite. But you can also check out http://soar.berkeley.edu/recipes/dog/

Liz, thanks so much for posting that recipe again! These brownies are just amazing! I made them last night. They were very easy. They came out so moist and just delicious. I could hardly stop eating them! I usually cheat and make brownies from the box because they always came out good, but these are so much better! My box days may be over!

MrsReber, my box days are over as well. These brownies were divine and we devoured them in one day (I took them to the office so I wouldn't eat them all!).
Does anyone know what you could substitue for the Kahlua? I would just leave it out all together, but I thought the 1/4 cup of liquid would probably need to be replaced.

Liz:
Kahlua - coffee or chocolate-flavored liqueur. (Substitute 1/2 to 1 teaspoon chocolate extract or substitute 1/2 to 1 teaspoon instant coffee in 2 tablespoons water for 2 tablespoons Kahlua.)

I made these brownies and they really are yummy!
King Arthur's Flour magazine has flavored chips, one of which is coffee. I was thinking that the coffee chips would go really well with the brownies. Has anyone tried it?
Liz, your brownies sound great! Do you know how many servings and how much dietary fiber? I am in WW and want to figure how many points. Thanks.

LA--
I entered this in Mastercook, and it looks as though it's 16 servings at 1 gram of fiber each.
Liz K--
Thanks for posting this. I missed it the first time around, too. I plan on trying it as soon as the Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chip Brownies are gone.
