Problems with the FORUM search box.

I don't know if this one as been brought to your attention yet, but the up on the orange bar that has UserCP, FAQ, etc., when you click on Search or on Quick Links (both have the drop down arrow), the box opens up quite a ways away from the where you click. If you don't move your cursor just right, you end up losing the search box. It's pretty annoying.

Did they already fix this? Because my expanded boxes open up right under the down arrows...

I think this is a browser issue. My guess would be that lakemartingal, you're using IE, and lindrusso, you're using firefox?

Let me know what OS and browser version you're both running, and I'll submit a help ticket on this one.

This drives me bananas also, with Search and Quick Links especially. I use IE, and it wasn't a problem until after the recent redo. It's as if opening the box is a foolie--if you don't follow exactly the correct cursor path over to your drop-down menu, it disappears.

BTW, OT but as long as we have an administrator with us ;), do the CLBB pages take so much longer to load now b/c of the ads? (What's different after the redo?) Thx. :)

Testkitchen--the recent changes should not be making the BB load slower. We've heard scattered complaints about this, but it isn't happening for most people. It could be a problem with your connection, or our servers, or something unrelated that neither of us can control, which makes it very difficult to track down or solve.

I had to give up IE for this site only.

That happens to me as well with Firefox. If you click the Search on the orange bar the dropdown box appears 2 menus over under the Log Out. The Quick Links box appears over the side banner. You have to go up and over or down and across or you lose the box. I have a 19" monitor with a resolution of 1440 x 900. I have noticed if I shrink my window the box will appear directly under the menu but when my window is full (maximized) the box is way over. It has to be a resolution problem.
