Hi all!

Last week was a bit crazy - let's see if this one can calm down a bit...

I did my 6 miles on Saturday - nothing Sun - hormonal big time!!!

Today I did an old DVD - BSS3 with Stephanie - uff da! Intense weight workout! I'm gonna be sore tomorrow.

The plan for this week revolves around practice schedules. We're in full swing now - Tuesday and Thursday both boys have their practices (soccer and baseball). I think I'll go with Sam and walk the park - more walking practice for the half marathon.

How was everyone's weekend? Josie - how are you holding up?

Hey charisse... keep up that walking and the half marathon will be a piece of cake! we did heavy garden stuff, more of those 70 lb bricks, and put up fence posts. It was cold, miserable, and snowing and raining. my weekend was not exactly relaxing and fun but we made great progress on a project that will be "done" for quite a few years, we think.

I did the standing half of GS legs and a little of the floor work saturday and didn't get sore. I'm ready to up the weight or add in the floor work. we had an ambitious garden project so it wasn't the day to get too burned out. did serious garden work sunday too and no formal exercise. today I did bike treadmill and elliptical and coremax 2 for a total about 1.5 hours.

Stacy, I think I'm getting STS for my birthday. :D I had DH take a look at it and he can't keep a secret. He likes Cathe too. whether it's the first mesocycle or the whole thing I don't know. I'd be happy with either.

Check in, josie, and let us know how things are going.

Hooray! The pool was warm enough to do aerobics, today!!!!!:D Of course, they were working on it when we got there... evidently the 'fix' didn't last, but hopefully, they'll have it running again by Thursday! I hope to be a good sore tonight! We did an hour and 15 minutes, because we started early, and no one wanted to get out!

Hi, everyone!! We're on spring break this week so I haven't been around much.

Charisse - Congrats on your six miles! You'll work up to the half marathon in no time. With all those practices, I'm guessing your weeks are going to stay busy. When do their games start?

Valerie - Hope you finish your project soon! Working outside in those conditions isn't much fun at all. Funny that your DH can't keep a secret --- mine can't, either. I think you'll really like STS!! And there are a number of guys who are doing it, too. Maybe you guys could do it together! I've finished the first meso cycle and have been very pleased with the workouts and my progress. It's worth every penny. I'm really looking forward to the next cycle.

Kay - Glad you were able to squeeze in your aerobics class. Hopefully, the fix will last this time.

This is my rest week between STS mesocycles so I'm doing cardio, stretching, and abs. No weights this week and not a lot of structure since we're on vacation. I did LIC Timesaver Step and CoreMax #1 on Monday, walked the amusement park all day Tuesday, and ran yesterday. I may just walk a little, stretch and do CoreMax #2 today...we'll see. It's just nice not to have to do it at 5am!!!

I was around early this morning but my secure setting would not go at all. I hooked up now with the non secure link and things seem OK.

I've got it now... need to do legs with weights twice a week. even a half a workout is enough to prevent the dreaded doms. this week I did more than half GS legs and Muscle Max and no soreness. I'm going deeper on squats and more smoothly. Not ready to up weight past 25 lbs though. Lunges stay at 15 but my balance is getting better. so maybe soon.
Stacy, thanks for all your reports on STS. My B-day is the 30th & I'll be joining the STS crowd. DH will likely too. When I first started talking about Cathe and recording her show off FitTV he didn't think she could be that effective. But he can see the changes in my arms and shoulders since I started getting more committed last thanksgiving.

We had a LONG garden day yesterday. spring is tough, so much to do! but it was a nice mild day and we put together and hung all our new gates...hope the local deer don't take it as a challenge to be overcome. the deer netting is the next thing and (with any luck) that will be it. Can't plant anything til the netting is in place.

Kay, glad the pool finally got up and running again. Hope you can find something to fill in the gaps when it's not functional. I hate getting sore cause there was too long a gap between workouts.
